Report Program Generator, also known as RPG, is a proprietary programming language owned by IBM. RPG is only good for database management but is extremely difficult to code in. I had to take it last semester in school, and IMO, RPG really, really sucks. Oh, and you need to use IBM's proprietary software to even write code in this language, and the program for writing RPG code is very cumbersome. RPG is also called RPG/400, as it runs soley on IBM's AS/400 system. Unless you absolutely have to learn it, stay the hell away from RPG.
