A spinoff of the first industrial band Throbbing Gristle, Psychic TV is basically Genesis P-Orridge's project with various other collaborators, such as Current 93's David Tibet. At first they went back and forth between creepy Abba-influenced pop and irritating industrial noise, but later settled into a sort of techno sound. Very influenced by the ideas of William S. Burroughs, notably in their obsession with the number 23.
