The Prelude to Dune is a series of three books written by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson that starts about 40 years prior to the original Frank Herbert Dune novels and ends with the birth of Paul Atreides. It consists of three books: House Atreides, House Harkonnen, and House Corrino.
