More commonly known as the University of Portsmouth, it claims to have the oldest computing department in England, and the largest Student Union. The University is spread into 3 parts, Langstone Campus (Residential), Milton Campus (Portsmouth Buisness School, and the largest, Guildhall Campus. I spend most of my life in Park Building and Mercentile House.

The Milton Campus of Portsmouth University is now closing. Everything there is now being moved closer to the centre of town.

Currently, the nicest building at the university is probably Portland, where all the architecture students hang out. The worst is probably Mercantile House, a characterless block of concrete that gets very hot and uncomfortable during the summer months.

Despite having the oldest computing department in England, the Information Systems Organisation (ISO) at the University of Portsmouth continually struggles to maintain an underfunded and badly managed system. Many students have taken to simply using their own computers, put off by the ten minute log-in times and frequent application problems.
