A truly innovative laserdisc player that does more than play laserdiscs. In fact, it accepts interchangeable modules that can play any Sega Genesis or TG16 game (cartridge or CD)! There was even a karaoke module for the true early adopter. These modules were pricier than the main unit (yes, of course they were sold seperately) and that made the LaserActive yet another gem for the video game collector. Sega also developed their own laserdisc ("Mega LD") games for the Pioneer system, although they were few far and between and mostly crap anyway.
