A naga jolokia is a chile pepper grown in the northeastern hills of Assam, India, and is reputed to be the world's hottest chile, measuring 855,000 Scoville units, compared to 577,000 for the habanero.

The only thing is, these tests were done by the Indian military. Why would the Indian military be testing chilies?

"Experiments are on and I don't want to say anything at this stage," said one of the scientists, speaking on condition of anonymity. "But you know how chile was used in ancient times to repulse enemy attacks."
