My Ding-A-Ling

One of the most depressing things about this song is that it was Chuck Berry's only number one hit.

That's right, the composer of Roll Over Beethoven, Johnny B. Goode, and Sweet Little Sixteen, one of the greatest influences of rock and roll and arguably the father of all serious guitar riffage, only had one song top the charts, and it was My Ding-a-ling.

The good thing that came out of this, however, was that Berry's publishing company owned all the rights so he actually made some decent money off of it.

But still.

My Ding-a-ling?
