Stockton Ports, but renamed in
2000.
The name itself should be familiar to anyone with passing knowledge of baseball lore -- the "Mudville nine" were the team for which Casey played in Ernest Lawrence Thayer's poem Casey at the Bat. The legendary Casey was a Stockton native.
