A club in New York City. Was open in the late 70s and early 80s and most new wave/neo-punk bands played there including Talking Heads, Sonic Youth, Bow Wow Wow. Made fameous by the Talking Heads song Life During Wartime with the following lyric:

"This ain't no party this ain't no disco this ain't no foolin' around... This ain't the Mudd Club or CBGB's, I ain't got time for that now..."
