Her educational background is in radio, and she has a BA in broadcasting from NYU. She is currently married and has a daughter who was born in 1996. While Martha Quinn is the Martha referred to in the Mojo Nixon song "Stuffin' Martha's Muffin", she is not the Quinn in "Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman". At least two '80s cover bands, Martha Quinn's Posse and The Martha Quinn Experience have borrowed her name.
