| Professional outdoor lacrosse league whose inaugural season starts in June 2001.
The MLL was founded by television fitness guru Jake Steinfeld (of "Body By Jake") The league will have 6 teams, each playing a 14 game schedule, with 4 teams making it to the playoffs.
The 6 teams are:
Baltimore Bayhawks
Boston Cannons
Bridgeport (Connecticut) Barrage
Long Island Lizards
New Jersey Pride
Rochester Rattlers
Personally, as a lacrosse fan, I hope the league succeeds, and the MLL seems to be starting small (with only 6 teams, all in the northeast/mid-atlantic). However, I heavily doubt the league will build enough of a fan base to be successful. |
