Located in the Short North on High Street, Mac's Pub specializes in Scottish Food and a wide variety of Scotch. Their best specials are their Nachos (I know, not Scottish - but good!), sandwiches and Scottish cuisine such as Sheppard's pie. They fix a good tasting drink and they don't skimp on the booze - these things don't always go together. The atmosphere is relaxed and casual. The best seating during the winter is in the back - as the front door opening and closing can make it pretty cold up front. Occasionally they host a piano player who is quite good and seems to really enjoy performing to a laid back crowd. It is a smoking restaurant so if that is a concern you might consider sitting up front or avoiding it... it might not be your cup of tea. Overall it's a nice place to eat or hang-out and get plastered.
