The most memorable feature of the Press-Telegram (after 12 years) was the style of articles - every article would have a closing sentence that was only semi-related to the article, that made you think, "What was this editor smoking?"

An article on pollution might end with, "n surfers come to Long Beach every year." In interesting factoid, and you're sure they are impacted by the pollution, but it just doesn't fit.
