He implements a plan in which everyone has a newname and number added to their names. This name and number differentiates between who is related. That way no one will ever be lonely because they have large families and people they can go to when they have problems. In Kurt Vonnegut's opinion not one of his better books. I on the other hand was quite impressed with it.
