Russian port city on the Bay of Finland, a suburb (and administrative part) of St. Petersburg.

Lonomosov was originally named Oranienbaum, but the city was renamed in 1948 in honour of Mikhail Vasilievich Lomonosov. The town's most striking architectural features are:

• The Grand Palace (also known as the Menshikov Palace or simply the Oranienbaum Palace), built 1710-1727 for Duke Menshikov, later the summer residence of Czar Peter III.
• The Petrstadt Fortress built 1756-1762.
• The "Countryside House" residence of Catherine II, built 1762-1774.
