Born in 1957 and raised in Reeder, North Dakota.
Joined the Army after high school. After the military he became a police officer.
After 16 and a half years with the Watford City, ND, police department, he was killed in the line of duty, on March 20, 1996.
Survived by a wife, two daughters, and a son.
