One widely joked about explanation for what JEEP stands for. This can be interpreted in two different ways:

If you own an old Jeep (e.g. a CJ) then you will spend a lot of time repairing components that fail, just to keep it on the road. And they will fail. Often when you forgot your cell phone, toolbox, or spare radiator hose at home. Fixing them will require great expenditure and/or time.
If you own a new Jeep (e.g. a TJ) then you may have an interest in adding accessories. The more chrome, detailing, and lights you add, the more you want to buy. This is the other side to owning at Jeep.
