Jesus Christs is a 1968 episodic novel by A.J. Langguth, a professor of journalism at the University of Southern California. This is a non-linear series of connected stories that seek to make a point; the point being to rethink your view of Jesus Christ.

Langguth portrays a variety of Christs in this book. He becomes a recurring character in history; always facing the same basic predicament with the same allies and the same adversaries. And Christ is, or becomes, aware of his status as an eternal archetype. He grows weary, becomes frustrated, at times even fatalistic.

There is humor and philosophy here, a well written book with an easy informal style - perhaps a result of Langguth's many years as a newspaper reporter. A difficult book to obtain, but a keeper once you've gotten a hold of it.
