Singer/Songwriter, hailing from Harrisburg, PA. Three albums to his credit so for, including his self-titled debut, "Somewhat Slightly Dazed", and "Galore". Musical style is somewhat similar to Tom Petty in that it can vary between quiet acoustic all the way to electric pop/rock. In fact, Mr. Gaines had the opportunity to tour with Mr. Petty as an opening act during a tour in Europe several years ago. Anyway, I had the opportunity to meet him during a club gig that he did here in Ottawa around 6 years ago (opening for Paula Cole before she became a big hit). The guy is an amazing performer...it was just him and his guitar. Plus, he's huge...I think if the guy wasn't a musical artist, he would probably have been a basketball player in the NBA. |
