The ability to keep your stomachs contents in your stomach in a very scary or stressful situation. Opposite of squeamish.

A humorously formalized version of the slang word "guts", in the sense of bravado, daring, or stamina. If you have intestinal fortitude, you can avoid shitting your pants in a frightening situation.
