No no, please don't confuse this with that gaudy piece of crap that is on all the stores shelves. The REGULAR mouse, that doesn't have 235 buttons on it and isn't shaped weird. Yes, it is by Microsoft.
No, its not GOLD and it doesn't have a neat-o clear red bottom that makes it look all spiffy. But it works better and it costs 20 bucks less and everyone wants it, but of course...

YOU CAN'T FIND IT ANYWHERE.

Yes, the Intellimouse with Intellieye is available, but it's just hard to find (I've found a few in CompUSA). Whereas the Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer costs $70 to $80 USD, the Intellimouse with Intellieye costs areound $55 to $60. Besides, I missed the regular Intellimouse feel -- easier on the hands than that silvery lump.

If price is your concern, then there is another Microsoft IntelliMouse, except that it's white, not silver, and there are just as many buttons, but they only one is activated by the thumb, the other is a pinky based button. Yes, it's an optical mouse.

This cost me $15 (USD) less than the silver one. It's got the scroll wheel too, which is vital for me, because I scroll up and down through things a lot.

The only thing I've noticed about being optical is that I have to clean the camera off occasionally (once in 3 months), and it won't work on my guitar (too shiny, I suppose).
