| A famous line uttered by Jerry Seinfeld in Seinfeld Episode 96 The Race. Jerry had had won a foot race back in high-school when, because he was so nervous, he started running before the starter had said go. He was a good 15 meters down the track before anyone else started, and no one seemed to notice! They just thought he was really fast... After that everyone wanted to him run again, and he knew he couldn't because that would expose the truth, he wasn't fast after all. So his response to anyone asking him was always "I choose not to run".
He gets into trouble later in the episode when he is forced into a race with his former classmate Duncan, he wins this race though when a car backfires and he gets a head start in the race again.
