Graham's law of effusion

Thomas Graham, a nineteenth century Scottish chemist, determined that at constant temperature, the rate of effusion of a gas in inversely proportional to the square root of its molar mass.

That is:

Rate of effusion of A
---------------------------- = sqrt( (molar mass B)/ (molar mass A) )
Rate of effusion of B
