George P. Burdell, Georgia Tech's long-lived mythical student, began attending class in 1927. In 1930, Burdell received his first undergraduate degree from Tech.

In recent years his signature has appeared on rebate checks from Kraft Foods, Miller Brewing Co. and other companies.

George represented the prestigious "Center for Sustaining Alumni Life Long Learning" for which he is currently serving as director.
