You should note that you aren't limited to just fruit when you make a daquiri. Several of my classmates in college prided themselves on finding new things to puree and mix into a drink. Two examples that stand out in my mind are the chips and salsa daquiri, made by throwing some tortilla chips and salsa over the ice in the blender, and the Math Book daquiri that was served to us frosh right before the math final. It consisted of pages of old math books that had been tossed into the blender, with ice and Rum. Although I don't drink, I had to take a taste of it. It tasted pulpy.
