Fred Frith Guitar Quartet

The Fred Frith Guitar Quartet is really an equal collaboration between four wonderfully talented guitarists: (Fred Frith, Rene Lussier, Nick Didkovsky, and Mark Stewart. They all delight in expanding the guitar's voice beyond its normal range, each in their own unique and personal style. The music ranges from tuneful and pretty, to noisy, aggressive, and quite challenging. There are (as far as I know) two records by the group, both released in Quebec by Ambiances Magnetiques (a great record label that has released most of Lussier's work):
