Mexican news daily founded in 1916 by engineer Félix Fulgencio Palavicini, for the purpose of publishing discourse of the Mexican Revolution prior to the Constitutional Congress in Querétaro. The Political Constitution of the United Mexican States was first printed by El Universal in 1917, and since then dedicated itself to the principles found therein. It continues to publish today.
