Latin for 'The law is tough, but it is the law'. I think it means that there have to be laws, and that it might be unfair, but we need rules.

Makes me think of what is a good law, and what is not. Where shall one draw the line? When it's freedom of the individual? Or when are you interfering with the others?

Rather curiously, there is a brand of dishes over there called Duralex. I wonder if they got the name from there. Their dishes are tough, though.
