| Last dream I remember on Christmas morning? Here it is.
I started out shopping in Park Drugs on Plandome Road in Manhasset, New York with my mother, brother, and some of his friends to buy a few necessities, of which I am still unclear. For some reason, it was essential that we all made separate purchases. I don't remember buying anything at this point, although I certainly had the means to. After a number of ladies my age (about twenty) walked in the store, with whom I was familiar, two of which resembled girls I met at college in Santa Barbara, California named Cindi and Loie, I remained in the store while my family members left me without realizing. There are a number of odd things about this dream. First, after my family left so did my wallet, so after waiting for everyone to purchase whatever crap they wanted, which ended up being candy, I still couldn't decided but finally agreed on two Halloween chocolate lollipops, which my friend Diana Lee from high school recommended I buy by somehow popping into my dream and then vanishing. At my desired time of purchase, the line was unbelievably long but I figured I would buy the damn candy anyway, telling myself "since this is a small store the line will go quickly." I didn't realize it at the time, but this little local drugstore had been transformed into some sort of larger, redecorated, cheesified, impersonal chain drugstore with many more aisles. However, I really wanted the candy badly at this point. So I waited in line in a panicked rush because all my friends left the store and went who knew where. I spoke to a dark skinned Asian man behind a single counter that served as all of the cutomers' checkout, asking him if the store accepted checks, which they did, without realizing I didn't have my checkbook, cash, ATM, nor credit on me. It was at this point I thought to myself, "I must have left my wallet and bag with my mom," who took off earlier. I ripped off a little hunky of one lollipop to eat later and threw them both down some aisle to vent my pissedoffness. After leaving the store and turning right around the corner towards Nassau Ave., across from the Manhasset train station, to walk to my house, I saw what was now a much larger, scattered group of girls walking down the road. They were strolling alongside a memorial park when I screamed at them to "wait for me!" A girl with blonde hair who was walking by herself behind the group heard me and shouted to the others to slow up or wait or stop or something. I ran to catch up to the girls, and as I approached them, my dream ended. Yay it's Christmas now. |
