Down the rabbit hole

An expression derived from Alice in Wonderland where one finds them selves stumbling into (an) ever stranger circumstance(s). A further indication of the expression can be that you let your self get side tracked by something alluring (such as a white rabbit) to wind up in these circumstances.

E2 is such a place where no doubt many find them selves ever drawn on such off track journeys into the strange.
