In the town where my college is there's a tiny store down a small street off the main drag called "The Crystal Essence". It's a "typical" new age store full of jewelry, books, CDs, candles, incense, stones, and artwork and always a fun place to browse when you're too tired to walk around in the summer heat or winter cold.

One day I decided to bring my best friends to my favorite little hideaway. As a female computer geek, I'm always trying to drag my male friends away from their computers and expose them to new ways of thinking. The three of us stepped into the store and I darted off to go look at the latest clothes.

Adam looked like a deer stuck in the headlights. He sniffed the air, muttered something about bogons and computers being destroyed, and ran out. Will followed me into the back and looked at the book section. Eventually I took pity on Adam and went to look for him outside. I got a rant on how I needed to stay away from computers as I was now contaminated with bogons and would destroy anything I touched, even the always stable FreeBSD.

Will glanced back at the store window, looked me straight in the eye, and said "It looks like one of those places where you'd expect to find Discovering Your Inner Tantric Lesbian." That said, Will and Adam started walking as fast as they could away from the bogon-emitter.

Time passed. Never again could I get Adam and Will to enter "The Flake Store" and every time I mentioned it, Will remarked about the book he thought I'd find there. One day I decided that this book must exist and decided to consult the oracle also known as Google.

I was distraught. There really isn't a book called Discovering Your Inner Tantric Lesbian. All I found was a web site telling me about lesbian tantra! One day I will discover my inner tantric lesbian geek and write a book about my experiences... and dedicate it to the flake store on the little side street in my college town.
