Dear Tabby

Dear Tabby is a book written by the world's best known feline advice columnist*, with a little help from Leigh Rutledge. The cover bills it as "Feline advice on love, life, and the pursuit of mice", though it holds a few pearls of wisdom for us bipeds, too.

• "Curiosity never killed anyone, not a single kitty. Complacency, on the other hand, can steal your soul."
• Asked "Is it normal for a cat to want sex after ten?" she replies "Yes. And in the mornings and afternoons, too."
• A cat complains about its name, 'meow tse-tung'; "next time, and every time they call you that name, jump on the TV and pee down the back of it."..."It's hard to imagine that anyone who pulls their eyes into a slant and talks in a fake Chinese accent is going to get the hint about anything ever."
• A cat discovers it is in love with a robin; "what can i do to convince her I am sincere?", to which Tabby replies "Have all your teeth pulled."

All in all, this is a wonderful book that no kitty-lover should be without.
