Former test pilot and famous Air racer. He was a test pilot on the U-2 spy plane and the SR-71 Blackbird. During the 1970s he purchased and modified a Lockheed Starfighter (this particular example known as the "Red Baron"), using it to attain a low-altitude speed record of 988.26mph, which he still holds.

He led a 1995 expedition to Greenland to recover the crashed kee bird B-29 bomber.
