The Gloranthan Rune that represents elemental Darkness, and secondarily, Cold. There is a little-used rune that is supposed to signify Cold Without Darkness, which appears as an open circle with a heavy border. The Darkness Rune itself is depicted as a filled circle. Subere is owner and source of the Darkness Rune. In combination with the Man Rune, it signifies Troll. A Darkness Elemental is called a Shade.
