The
Republic of Ireland
is going through a bit of a
purge
at the moment. A fairly
intricate
series of
circumstances
has led to the
uncovering
of
decade
s worth of
political
corruption
, much of it relating to
city planning
. There are two
tribunal
s sitting at the moment with a view to sorting it all out:
The Moriarty Tribunal
: investigating the
affair
s of former
Taoiseach
Charles Haughey
.
The Flood Tribunal
: investigating
allegation
s of
bribery
in relation to
planning
decision
s made by City Councillers in the
1980s
and
1990s
.
Some really
juicy
stuff has been coming out, but it's a bit early to start
noding
it. However, when the current tribunals have run their courses, I will

as much of the
