Chocolate Chip Cake

• 1 3/4 cup boiling water
• 1 3/4 cup unsifted flour
• 1 cup uncooked oatmeal
• 1 t. baking soda
• 1/2 t. salt
• 1 T. cocoa
• 1 cup brown sugar
• 1 cup white sugar
• 1/2 cup butter
• 1 12 oz package semi-sweet chocolate chips
• 2 extra large eggs, or 3 medium eggs
• 3/4 cup chopped nuts

Pour water over oatmeal, let stand for 10 minutes. Add sugars, butter, and stirr till butter melts. Add eggs and mix well. Add flour, soda, salt and cocoa. Mix. Add 1/2 the chips. Mix. Pour batter into greased 9x13 dish. Put rest of nuts and chips on top. Bake at 350 for 35 minutes.
