Weird Japanese video game genre. Basically, one is the parent of a child, who must be properly raised to adulthood: dressed, fed, chastisted, rewarded, entertained, educated. Usually the child is a girl; most that I have seen are NOT hentai but do verge onto some kind of voyeurism at one point or another. There are multiple endings; usually there are several good endings and one best, in addition to a range of others. The most well-known in the US is probably Princess Maker, which is available in English both legitimately and as pirated ROMs.
