Possibly the best beer from Cascade Brewery in Hobart, Tasmania. As the name suggests it is light pale in appearance. It was the first beer brewed at Cascade and according to my dad was (is?) a favorite with local pissheads -- sorry, "beer enthusiasts" -- as it is the most alcoholic of the Cascade range (5.2%).
Pale Ale has a clean, bitter taste that is quite different from its northern rivals, particularly Boag's Premium from Launceston which is much sweeter. |
