| The California King is a mattress size found primarily on the U.S. West Coast (hence the name). It's longer and narrower than the traditional King, measuring 72" x 84" (the traditional King size is 78" x 80"). This isn't really a big deal except when buying fitted King sheets. Flat King sheets are the same size regardless of the type of King.
