An artist who's real name is Gaynor Hopkins.
Welsh-born singer of nice pop songs (especially
ballads). Originally sang in the R&B band
Mumbles. After that (and after a failed operation which left her with a
peculiar raspy voice), she started on her own, and scored a hit in
1978 with "
It's a Heartache". Another hit was scored with "
Total Eclipse of the Heart". Nowadays, she is not that popular anymore, although she keeps releasing new material on a regular basis.
