Blå Aalborg is a danish snaps named after the city Aalborg. It is produced by Danisco Distillers and is the newest of their many spirits. It is marketed towards younger people, and is a much cleaner spirit than traditional snaps, without the characteristic spices that most people associate with snaps. At 38% (vol), it has a lower alcohol contents than most of its counterparts. It comes in 70 cl, triangular bottles with very stylish labels. Despite very strong initial marketing as an alternative to vodka and a lot of cool merchandise it never quite gained popularity among young people. It is still a very tasty and smooth snaps, and a good place to start for newcomers.
