I was just telling my beautiful wife of three years, whom I met 10 years ago today, all of the reasons I never wanted to break up in that entire decade, not even for a moment, not even in the worst of times. They were simple reasons.

• Because her teeth are translucent.
• Because she surprises me every day.
• Because she is usually graceful, but can be really clumsy.
• Because, sometimes, she drools in her sleep.
• Because it keeps getting better, every day, every hour.
• Because she makes me think new things.
• Because I would dread seeing life without her eyes.

And she teased me for being sappy when I said these things, and when I asked why she had stuck with me for ten years, in some pretty fucking bad times, when most other people had given up on me, she said
