The Beatnigs were Henry Flood, Andre Flores, Michael Franti, Kevin, and Rono Tse. Their eponymous album on Alternative Tentacles is definitely in my all-time top ten. The best-known song on the album is Television - The Drug of the Nation, which video actually got play on the MTV show 120 Minutes.

Michael Franti and Rono Tse went on to form The Disposable Heroes of Hiphoprisy.
