Neighbour to The Flintstones, husband to Betty, and target of vitriolic abuse by Fred Flintstone...with friends like Fred, who needs enemies?

Lucky for Barney, he's always able to outwit Fred by stealing his Fruity Pebbles. I always wondered why he never bothered to steal Cocoa Pebbles...until I tried them one day and realized that they simply were not worth stealing...better for throwing at cars.

Unfortunately, Barney has been portrayed in a couple of live-action movies, most recently the awful "Viva Rock Vegas" where Stephen Baldwin played Barney. As dim-witted as Barney may seem to be, he isn't a deer in headlights...which is what Mr. Baldwin looks like when he acts.
