Baluchitherium

A large rhinoceros with a wonderful name, long extinct: They were in vogue at the end of the Oligocene period and the beginning of the Miocene period, roughly from 30 to 20 million years ago.

Baluchitheria grew up to eighteen feet high at the shoulder. They lacked horns (I trust y'all know that rhinoceros horns aren't exactly proper horns anyway) and had longer legs (in proportion) than our lovable modern rhinoceros, but they shared its charm. Their remains have been found only in Asia, which seems vaguely unfair somehow. Then again, they're digging up all kinds of crazy critters in Montana, so I can't complain.
