Israeli pop star Aviv Geffen follows in the footsteps of Bob Dylan, by being a fine lyricist and composer, but being somewhat challenged in the vocal department (and being Jewish, of course!). Famous for: wearing makeup on stage, evading compulsory military service (still something of a no-no in Israeli society - well most of it, anyway). Tried to start a Euro-career, but failed to make much impact on the charts there. Performed at the rally at which Yitzhak Rabin was assassinated. Famous dad: singer/songwriter Jonathan Geffen.
