Any time is Trinidad time

According to Queens College anthropologist Kevin K. Birth, "Any time is Trinidad time" is a common phrase to excuse lateness in Trinidad. In their culture the pace of life is much more relaxed than most others, and so being 45 minutes to an hour late for informal meetings is perfectly acceptable.

This phrase was brought to my attention by the article Clocking Cultures in Scientific America, September 2002. The phrase has since been co-opted by me as "Any time is my_name time" until the time comes that I am able to move to Trinidad where I believe I will truly fit in.
