Anonymous Authority

A type of the Appeal to Authority logical fallacy where the source isn't identified, so the expertness of the authority can't be called into question.

Example: "A high-level government official said..."

To prove it false, show that without knowing the veracity of the source we can't tell if the proposition is valid.
