King's Quest 6 had an extremely annoying narrator, whose voice grated on you after about three minutes of gameplay. This was made even more frustrating by the fact that just about EVERYTHING was narrated. Alexander picks up a rock! Alexander looks around! Alexander picks his nose! Midway through the game, when you open the magic map and transport yourself to a different location, the narrator helpfully speaketh thus:
"Alexander looks at the magic map. Alexander feels a bit strange. Alexander feels a strange pulling sensation!"
Being about twelve at the time, my friend and I found this ridiculously funny. We were walking around for weeks saying crap like, "Alexander says hello!" and "Alexander wishes to know what you're up to tonight!" |
