Russian Composer, part of the mighty handful. Also a distinguished proffesor of Chemistry. Left a good deal incomplete when he died, including his opera Prince Igor (which includes the popular polovitsian dances), which was completed by Rimsky-Korsakov. Among his completed works include a Tone Poem entitled "In the Steppes of Central Asia", 2 Symphonies, a wonderful string quartet and assorted other music.
